Zee Marathi's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a very successful reality show in the history of Marathi Television Industry. No doubt every music lover (Marathi/Non Marathi) is fan of this show. Yesterday (31st January 2010) there was a mega final event of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa's season 7 and after a very tough competition URMILA DHANAGAR was declared as winner whereas Rahul Saxena and Abhilasha Chellam finished as runners up.
After following the seasons of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, I have noticed that few of the results are partial.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season 1: Abhijeet Kosambi won the mega final, but Mangesh Borgaokar was better singer
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season 3: Vaishali Bhaisane-Made won the mega final but Saayali Panase was better singer.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season 5: Little champs winner was Kartiki Gayakwad but Aarya Abekar and Prathamesh Laghate were much better singers. Aarya showed a great variety of songs. I would rank Aarya then Prathamesh before Kartiki.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa season 7: Urmila Dhangar won this season but Abhilasha Chellam was far better singer with lots of variety. Even guest judges voted Rahul as best singer and Abhilasha was highest amongst votes.

every competition has rules and hence as per rule viewers selected Urmila as winner. Don't think abhlasha or Rahul are better or worse than Urmila. Disagree with your views, seems to be bias
Yes, you are right..
That's why I mentioned to disclose votes and marks.
During Mega final Rahul was highest amongst marks and Abhilasha was highest among votes..
Anyway since this is not happening for the first time.. my request to zee marathi is bring more transparency in the valuation and any person should register his vote only ONCE.. multiple voting should not be allowed.
But do not forget that the marks given by judges had only 10% weightage, whereas votes were 90%.
Also it may have been that markswise all were very close to each other which nullifies the the marks given because of lower weightage, and votes might have poured in for urmila.
I voted for Rahul, coz i thought he was the best, may be others had some other view. I do not think that the results are partial at all
The votes percentage is made equal to 50-50 from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little champs season. The reason for doing this is the same that people started complaining on their grading system and they felt it's bias..

The three singers were good but Abhilasha was far ahead in her voice training, her deeply emotive expressions, her ability to get into the song and its theme and deliver it with such dexterity that she invariably created a lingering melodic atmosphere and one wants to re-experience her songs. Her calm confidence and infectious enthusiasm are signs of a "great artist in making." Sa, re ga ma pa will regret someday for making her a runner up! You will not hear Urmila for long...this is my unpartial judgement. All the best Abhilasha...go ahead and Be a Star! Love your voice and your personality...Be humble and persevere..:-)
